Full Registration Package

Full Convention registration includes: Opening Reception, Convention Education, Trade Show Education, NECA Show, lunch all three days of the NECA Show, admittance to General Sessions and Closing Celebration.

Full Convention registration includes online streaming of select Convention Education courses.

Registering for the Full Convention also entitles you to admission to the NECA Show all three days as well as any of the Convention Education sessions at no additional charge.

Registering Children

Registration for children attending the NECA Show must be completed online. Children may visit the NECA Show floor all three days, but must be registered and accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

These preconvention workshops present an in-depth look at many of the leading issues in our industry today, from new industry standards to financial issues to managing risk. These collaborative, interactive sessions will provide you with the tools you need to stay on top.

All preconvention workshops will be held prior to the start of the full convention program and require separate, advance registration fees. Full course descriptions and speaker bios are available on the schedule page. Classes fill up, so be sure to register early!

OSHA ET&D 10 Hour Train-the-Trainer

The Electrical Transmission and Distribution Partnership developed the OSHA Electrical Construction Industry Outreach training course with the mind set of producing a non-traditional, industry specific training course tailored toward employees involved with the construction and maintenance of electrical power transmission and distribution systems. This class will prepare a qualified OSHA Outreach Construction Trainer to provide the OSHA ET&D 10 hour course to outside line construction employees in the electrical transmission and distribution industry. This course is based on the current OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards, latest consensus standards, and ET&D industry accepted best practices. Also covered will be the OSHA Focus 4 topics, industry specific equipotential grounding and bonding, flame resistant clothing, electrical arc protection, and pre-job briefings.

This class is being offered to NECA Member employees, IBEW members or electrical training ALLIANCE instructors who possess an up-to-date OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer Certificate.

Using Your Estimate as a Project Management Tool

This session will discuss how to identify an ideal project and methods for transiting from estimating to bidding and onto building the project. We’ll accomplish this through a technique for fine-tuning your estimating process and developing valuable project management tools.

Electrical Contractor Essentials: Finance, Legal, Safety and Insurance

Designed specifically for NECA’s small and medium-sized contractors, this program will bring in experts to discuss the essential elements of safety, finance, insurance and risk, and legal issues that all contractors need to know. The safety section will outline elements of a safety program, supervisor responsibility related to safety and why a good safety record is important from reputation to profitability. The financial section will focus on the components of financial statements, cash flow, profit fade, work in process schedules, cycle time, and the concept of margin versus markup. Legal matters such as recommended clauses and provisions for product and service contracts, wage and hour changes, and best practices for internal investigations will be discussed. Finally, we’ll conclude with a discussion on common coverage concerns, risk management culture, best practices for fleet/driving, workers compensation and bonding.

Cancellations in this section refer to the cancellation of the registration in its entirety.

  • Cancellations received on or before August 31, 2021 will receive a full registration refund.
  • All full meeting, weekend packages, and Convention Education registration (including individual guest registrations) cancellations received between September 1 and September 22, 2021 will be refunded in full minus $100 processing fee.
  • Paid NECA Show cancellations (main attendee and individual guests) received between September 1 and September 22, 2021 will be refunded minus $50.00 processing fee.
  • Cancellations received after September 22, 2021 will not be refunded.

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to or fax to (415) 293–4745, Attn: NECA Registration.


Check refunds will be issued six to eight weeks after the convention date. Refunds will NOT be issued for cancellations received after September 22, 2021. Credit card refunds will be processed within six to eight weeks after receiving the cancellation.


Refunds will NOT be issued to participants who do not attend the Convention and do not cancel their registration by September 22, 2021.
