What’s the difference between a manager and a leader? Managers managers tasks; leaders lead people. As we move higher and higher in our organizations or in our careers, we get further away from the technical skills that got us hired in the first place – this is commonly referred to as “promotion based on technical competence.” The technical skills of a leader come out of the field of Emotional Intelligence. This session will cover the tactical application of communication and feedback skills to ensure leaders are communicating assertively and giving feedback in a way that motivates and values their people.
