Technology’s Impact on Electrical Codes and Standards

Available Dates & TimesThe National Electrical Code contains rules that can be applied to today’s electrical installations and systems, and serves as the electrical contractor playbook. This session will provide a real-world look at how to apply the NEC to installations and systems. Learn more about electric vehicle charging, Power over Ethernet utilization equipment and expanding deployment of energy management systems.
Biography
Michael Johnston is NECA’s Executive Director, Codes and Standards. Mike holds a degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Mike is immediate past Chairman of the NFPA NEC Correlating Committee. Mike is an active member of the NFPA Standards Council. Johnston is a member of the IBEW and is an active member of ANSI, IAEI, NFPA, SES, ASSP, the UL Electrical Council, the National Safety Council and he is member of and immediate past Chair of the NFPA Electrical Section.
