Biography

Paula Simmons is Vice President of People & Culture for Southwire Company. In this role, she oversees all the tactical and strategic People & Culture — the organization’s name for Human Resources (HR) — functions for Southwire’s Tools, Component & Assembled Solutions (TCAS) business unit.
Before joining Southwire, Paula held many HR leadership positions in the United Parcel Service (UPS) Georgia District, representing a workforce of approximately 8,000 employees. She later served as Vice President of Human Resources for a newly-chartered bank, providing oversight for all HR-related practices as the business grew to five locations and $400 million in annual revenue.
Paula holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University, and she is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
