The National Electrical Code contains rules that can be applied to today’s electrical installations and systems, and serves as the electrical contractor playbook. This session will provide a real-world look at how to apply the NEC to installations and systems. Learn more about electric vehicle charging, Power over Ethernet utilization equipment and expanding deployment of energy management systems.

Biography

Tim Mikloiche

Tim founded Electrical Training Services and has over 35 years of experience in the electrical industry. He started out as an apprentice, then went on to become a State of Connecticut licensed Journeyman, Master Electrician\Electrical Contractor and Electrical Inspector. Along the way he obtained a degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology. He holds State of Connecticut licenses as a Master Electrician\Electrical Contractor, Electrical Inspector, Assistant Building Official, and Building Official.

Tim has been an electrical instructor for over 20 years. He is on the State of Connecticut Codes and Standards Committee. He is a Principal member on Code Making Panel 3 for the 2026 National Electrical Code and has been a Code Making Panel 3 member since 2017. He is the 2nd Vice Chair on NFPA’s Electrical Inspector Member Section Executive Board. He is on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Section, Connecticut Chapter, of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, and is on Underwriter Laboratories Standards Technical Panels 467 and 486. Tim is currently a Chief Building Official/Supervisor of Inspections for a municipality in the State of Connecticut.
