Description

This session will introduce a new approach to maintaining Medium Voltage equipment and cable systems. This session will discuss common failure modes and the challenges of traditional maintenance, and a new solution using multi-modal sensing and analytics for early anomaly detection. This method helps reduce outage risk, improve efficiency, and supports a data-driven maintenance strategy aligned with NFPA 70B standards.

    Pruthvish (Vish) Shah currently serves as Technical Engagement Leader in 3M’s Electrical Markets Division. In this role, he is responsible for leading Application engineering team for 3M’s Underground Grid Modernization solutions. Prior to this role, Pruthvish was responsible for product management of 3M’s Underground Sensored Cable Accessories product and new solutions roadmap development Grid Automation. Prior to 3M, he served Cooper Industries (now Eaton) as Product Line Manager for its Metering product line. Prior to that, he served UL in roles spanning engineering, project management and global market access consulting. Vish holds MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and MS in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
