  Sara Currie started out as an Apprentice Electrician in 2011. At the time, she was a mother to a two month old baby and was determined to support her family. Little did she know that just over ten years later, she’d be working with different groups throughout the electrical industry. Sara is a member of the Oregon State Electrical and Elevator Board, she sits on the Oregon-Columbia Chapter NECA Joint Legislative Committee, participates in many safety committees in the Portland area, and is the Safety and Training Director at Tice Electric Company. Sara graduated from the NEXT Leadership Academy in 2020 and is currently participating in NEXTWomen. Her personal experience in her leadership position at Tice as well as her educational experiences have helped her to grow into believing that showing up as yourself is the best way to make a positive difference for those around you.
