New building wireless systems offer a problem-solving opportunity for electrical contractors, and some contractors are changing how they approach roles and duties. This session will evaluate the second largest commercial office building in the US, where firms worked together to solve problems for the building owners and managers. Learn more about Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), the impact of 5G technology and how IoT networks are evolving, as well as the financial benefits of adopting this collaborative model.

    Bandwidth Logic

    Mark Parr is a recognized pioneer in the distributed antenna systems (DAS) industry, having engineered wireless systems for some 400 million square feet of space, across several decades and covering most every type of venue in the United States. Mr. Parr has designed and built wireless and fiber telecommunications systems for Fortune 100 firms, USA’s largest airports and transit systems, skyscrapers and mixed-use venues, sports facilities, educational campuses. His firm, Bandwidth Logic, specializes in building private telecommunications infrastructure, and will describe this work at 55 Water Street in NYC and within the Adventure Crossing USA development in Jackson, NJ.

    Sam Gilson is an expert in business transformation and new market development with WESCO. He is an executive with divisional P&L, sales and operational success, having cross functional and broad market experience. He has built top performing business units in the Fortune 500 arena as well as in smaller organizations. All recent successes involved leading large scale business transformations and delivering consistent growth in challenging and/or new markets. Mr. Gilson leads the partnership with Bandwidth Logic from inside WESCO.

  • Brendan Delaney

    Advanced Network Services

    Brendan Delaney is a Director of the in-building wireless work performed by Advanced Network Services (ANS). He launched the ANS distributed antenna systems (DAS) and indoor small cell service offerings. This included growing the in-house knowledge base, building the engineering and operational teams, and growing the customer base to include wireless carrier projects and national enterprise customers. Brendan’s current position focuses on not only managing current large accounts and projects, but he is also responsible for spear heading and implementing the strategic initiatives of the in-building wireless team and developing new services such as ANS’ Peel-It Platform providing monitoring and maintenance for in-building systems, private LTE and 5G offering, and Public Safety wireless practice.
