Scottie Pippen

One of basketball’s most talented, versatile and successful players, Scottie Pippen’s improbable journey to the NBA landed him in Chicago, where he and Michael Jordan teamed up to lead of one of the game’s greatest dynasties. Scottie was born in Arkansas, the youngest of 12 children, and he didn’t receive a single Division I scholarship offer. He walked on at an NAIA school, Central Arkansas, and was drafted fifth overall in the 1987 NBA Draft. He quickly established himself as one of the league’s best two-way players and in only his fourth season, claimed the first of six NBA world championships in eight years. Scottie was beloved by his teammates and when you listen to him speak, you’ll understand why!

Jonathan Marsh

Jonathan Marsh is CEO of SteelToe Consulting LLC, a firm that specializes in helping construction companies integrate and implement modern construction technology and workflows to improve and streamline their businesses. He also works as a construction startup advisor and as a software product manager for construction software. In addition to conducting research and reporting for industry groups through its MEP Innovation Lab, Jonathan helps develop hardware and software solutions for the construction space. Jonathan is the former CTO of Wm. T. Spaeder Company, where he headed up IT, virtual design & construction, and engineering. While there, he championed technology adoption, modular fabrication, BIM, and the advantages of using progressive technological approaches to project and company challenges. He has an extensive background in MEP construction and engineering, with projects ranging from commercial buildings to industrial refineries, and has over two decades of experience in the AEC industry.

Jay Jones

Jay B. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2000.   While there, Jay was named Captain of his Football Team and then went on to coach the Offensive Line for one season following graduation.  After college, Jay took his leadership off the football field and into the Electrical Construction Industry.  After completing his Apprenticeship, Jay became a Journeyman Wireman with IBEW Local Union 456 in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he worked for 11 years as a Journeyman Wireman, Foreman and General Foreman.  He then had the opportunity to work with the National Electrical Contractors Association as a NECA Field Representative covering the NECA Eastern Region.  He is a graduate of both the VOLT and NEXT Leadership Academies and has served as the Co-Coordinator for the Outstanding Apprentices attending the National Training Institute.  For the past 3-years, Jay has worked with the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter as a Chapter Field Representative and the Director of Education.

Jared Christman

Jared Christman has spent the last 30 years in the Electrical industry in some form or fashion. Everything from GIS mapping in the field to cutting ROW and designing utility routing in the Texas Hill Country to designing large electrical systems and utilizing BIM on large-scale projects. His passion is combining the electrical field mentality with the latest technology, with the ultimate goal being to help field personnel implement technology.

Adam Davis

Adam S. Davis is the Virtual Design & Construction Project Manager at Miller Electric Company and has been involved in Construction Design & VDC for 20 years.   He has published “Achieving Spatial Coordination Through BIM”, National BIM Standard v2.0, helped develop manufacturer’s software for Revit, Member of the BIM Forum Working Group, and is a Member of the Innovation & Strategy Task Force for NECA.  Along with his VDC background, he has been involved in design, planning, and execution from the project level to the enterprise on projects from a 500-acre site to a 2.3M Square Foot Mixed-Use Manufacturing Building.  From specific animations of work tasks to full 5D sequenced models, Adam works to leverage models & information to support field installations.  He has built Design & VDC capabilities at 2 prior NECA Contractors and developed VDC Process and Fabrication Facilities. Recent Initiatives include using analytics with cloud models and CRM systems to create business data & industry metrics for VDC.

Dr. Sally Spencer-Thomas

Clinical psychologist, inspirational speaker, podcaster, and impact entrepreneur, Dr. Sally Spencer-Thomas began her innovative work in suicide prevention after her brother died of suicide. Known as an innovator in social change, Spencer-Thomas has helped start multiple large-scale, gap-filling efforts in mental health, including “Construction Working Minds”, the award-winning Man Therapy campaign and work as lead author of the National Guidelines for Workplace Suicide Prevention. She currently serves as the president of United Suicide Survivors International. Dr. Sally has a TEDx talk, gave an invited speech at the White House and was honored with the ENR Newsmaker of the Year distinction for her efforts in construction.
