Description

Labor Relations is a vast topic to learn and master. The laws, interpretations, and contracts number in the thousands which impact this ever-evolving field. To sit through a course on everything “Labor Relations” would take more than a lifetime. Instead, this session will work through some real-world Labor Relations challenges with subject matter experts. Hear how they navigated these tough situations and gain some of their knowledge and experience along the way.

  • Ryan Courtney

    NECA

    Ryan Courtney embarked on his journey in the electrical contracting industry upon completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology at Southeastern Louisiana University. With a rich and diverse background encompassing technical support, industrial IT, education, and industrial fabrication and assembly, Ryan has amassed invaluable experience across multiple domains.

  • David Manderson

    Minneapolis Chapter, NECA

    David started with NECA in 1988 as a Staff Associate. He worked as an Assistant Manager in the Central Indiana Chapter. Following his tenure in Central Indiana, David managed the North and Northeast Texas Chapters. He then became a Field Representative for the Midwest Office. He returned to merge the two Texas Chapters in the late 90’s. He moved to Minneapolis in 2011 where he is now the Chapter Manager of the Minneapolis Chapter.

  • Rose Haensly

    NECA

    Prior to joining NECA, Rose worked at Lafarge North America, Amherst, NY in Human Resources gaining extensive experience in Labor Relations. In 2007, Rose accepted the position of Executive Director of the Western NY Chapter of NECA where she managed the affairs of the association including duties such as labor relations, contract negotiations, member recruitment, and education. Additionally, she served as a trustee on numerous Taft-Hartley benefit funds and has been active as a trustee with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. She remained at the chapter for approximately 13 years. Rose then began her role with NECA National as an Eastern Region Field Rep in 2020 representing 8 chapters in NY and ECAO in Toronto.

  • Jack Savage

    NECA

    Prior to joining NECA, Jack was a practicing attorney at the law firm of Manchester, Newman & Bennett in Youngstown, Ohio for 10 years. His areas of practice included civil litigation and estate planning. In 2014, Jack accepted the position of Executive Director of the Mahoning Valley Chapter of NECA where he remained for approximately 5 years. Jack began his role with NECA National as an Eastern Region Field Rep in 2019 servicing Chapters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia. In May of 2023, Jack was named Executive Director of the Eastern Region.
