Say farewell to summer and hello to NECA 2012 Las Vegas at our Sunset Beach Party opening celebration, Saturday, Sept. 29 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Voted by Trip Advisor as one of the best pools in the U.S., Mandalay Bay’s 11-acre tropical Sand-and-Surf Beach will have you believing that you’re in the Caribbean as you greet old friends and make new ones. The Sunset Beach Party will be a time when you can kick off your sandals and dance in the sand to live beach music.

Grab a cocktail and check out the poolside entertainment cabanas where you’ll find Elvis and his showgirl sidekicks, Marilyn Monroe and other Vegas royalty. Meanwhile, Fire Twirlers, the Limbo King and other acts will keep convention-goers enthralled.

Tiki bars will be serving your favorite tropical drinks. You can find a quiet table at one of the ultra lounges, or head to beach with the kids to create a sand sculpture or dip your toes in one of the three beachfront pools. The menu will be fun and festive, with the thrill of the grill and grab-and-go food stations everywhere. Kids can enjoy a Willy Wonka-style candy buffet and sand games while you watch the lazy river glide by.

Following the success of the second annual NECA Safety Professionals Conference, NECA will offer a specific selection of vital safety tracks presented at the new Safety Forum at the NECA convention in Las Vegas, Sept. 29-Oct. 2.

NECA Energy Forum Returns in 2012 by Popular Demand!

A revolution in energy technology is sweeping the nation, and each new discovery or innovation means growth opportunities for electrical contractors. In 2011, the first-ever NECA Energy Forum in San Diego drew over 250 contractors and their employees to a full-day combination of plenary sessions and breakout workshops detailing the numerous possibilities in  renewable power technology and integrated, energy-efficient building systems.

This year, the 2^nd Annual Energy Forum is an intensive afternoon program on Saturday, Sept. 29 featuring keynote speakers and expert panels focused on the growth opportunities in energy solutions for electrical contractors. Dreaming at The Wynn for Closing Celebration

Convention-goers will enjoy an exclusive NECA-only performance for one of the hottest tickets in town – Le Rêve – The Dream – at the Wynn Las Vegas for the Closing Celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Le Rêve combines fire and water in breathtaking performances in an intimate aqua theater-in-the-round. The show features aerial acrobatics, provocative choreography and artistic aerial feats. Le Rêve’s 93-member cast will capture your imagination with daring feats of strength and agility. Live music and special effects immerse the audience into a world of fantasy, adventure and intrigue.

The unique, in-the-round setting also guarantees an amazing view from all theater seats of the action on the aquatic stage. You’ll be immersed in the action of the show, but unless you request to sit in the splash-zone, you’ll stay completely dry.
