Tony Byler

Tony is a construction litigator with three decades of experience representing public and private owners, general contractors, trade subcontractors, and material suppliers. He regularly handles major construction disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants involving construction projects of every kind, including power plants, educational facilities, hotels, bridges, high-rise residential buildings, prisons, wastewater treatment plants, parking garages, assisted living facilities, and other commercial and industrial structures. Tony counsels clients on matters concerning payment disputes, delay and disruption claims, payment and performance bonds, prompt payment statutes, and mechanics’ liens. He also serves as an arbitrator on the Roster of Neutrals for the American Arbitration Association, where he works with contractors and their counsel to resolve similar construction disputes and claims.
Tony is active in NECA chapters throughout the country, regularly presenting construction law seminars and webinars, and authoring articles on emerging construction laws and trends. 

Josh Levy

Josh Levy currently serves as the CEO of Document Crunch, a contract compliance and intelligence platform for the construction industry. With a strong leadership background and expertise in construction law, Josh co-founded Document Crunch to bring his extensive experience to the field. Josh graduated with honors from the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, graduating with high honors. These educational achievements, coupled with his professional experience, have shaped his vision for Document Crunch and his desire to raise the standards of the construction industry.

Eric Spaeth

Eric Spaeth is the Director of Preconstruction for The Brandt Companies in North Texas. Eric has been at Brandt for 15 years, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from TCU, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He has worked on projects in the fields of healthcare, commercial office, industrial, data center, and higher education. He currently is a member of the NECA Innovation and Strategy Task Force.

Denise M. Elliott

Denise has been with 3M for 29 years, Damage Prevention Specialist for 15 years.  Denise has a master’s in business and has national responsibility in the construction & industrial market specifically for underground utility mark, map, protect and locate.  As part of the Common Ground Alliance, Denise is an has been actively involved as a subcommittee member in the Best Practices Committee as well as the Education Committee.  As an damage prevention advocate, Denise works with various damage prevention organizations and teams including many 811 One Call Centers. Denise is a frequent speaker at industry organizational conferences/seminars on damage prevention and safe digging practices including World Data Center, Mango, MEA, OSP and National and Regional Damage Prevention Councils.  “

Wes Wheeler

Wesley L. Wheeler, SMS, is NECA’s Executive Director of Safety. Wesley joined NECA in 2014 and has over 40 years of electrical experience. Prior to NECA, he was safety consultant in his own business, Wheeler Safety Services, Inc. and has been a Safety Director and OSHA Safety trainer for a large industrial based electrical contractor in Florida. Wesley is a qualified OSHA Construction Outreach Instructor and has assisted in OSHA Instructor classes for Electrical Training Alliance, (etA formerly known as the NJATC). He also has assisted etA in textbook development contributing to their OSHA workbooks. Wesley has served in many capacities in his career from electrician, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager to safety director and is a member of OSHA’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). He has also a Florida State Certified Electrical Contractor and has also served on the NECA Codes and Standards committee for the last 14 years representing NECA on the NEC-NFPA 70 Code Panels 6 and 7 and was member of the NFPA 70E Committee for the 2015 and 2018 editions. Wesley brings a unique over all perspective to his position. Wesley is also a trained First Aid/BLS instructor, a Department of Labor Mine Safety Health Administration Instructor, and has had OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer credentials from University of South Florida.

Bob Eaton

Bob has over 30 years’ experience in financial services; to include insurance and investments; with extensive knowledge in implementing and managing numerous national corporate accounts.
Presently, Bob’s focus is on renewable energy and more specifically the photovoltaics sector. In this capacity, he advises and consults companies nationwide on emerging solar technologies; including receiving a US Patent for the design of the “Sun Commander” (a portable photovoltaics powered micro grid).
Bob also lectures to utility providers, architectural and engineering firms, home builders and construction companies, business chambers & trade associations, along with developing new integrated photovoltaics solutions for current national clients.

Michael Evans

Michael Evans is a leader within Talent Learning for Milwaukee Tool. Michael has spent the last 20 years learning and leading in multiple sales, training, service, and brand marketing roles. Michael is a servant leader focused on educating Milwaukee teams to serve our partners and end users in the construction industry.
Michaels’ passion for people and culture has allowed him the opportunity to work as a chair for the Milwaukee culture team, driving the celebration and recognition of our diverse people. As a founding member of the Pudwill Leadership Center, Michael worked to design and deliver engaging training in both digital and live hands-on, taking user and product knowledge to a best-in-class level of immersive experiential learning.

Joshua Knott

With 27 years of industry experience between installation, estimation project management and engineering, Josh Knott is armed with the background and knowledge to help drive business in his current position as Director of Construction & Technical Sales for Leviton. Through product trainings, technical expertise and application engineering, Josh and his team support the needs of all stakeholders in the contractor world. In his 13 year tenure at Leviton, Josh has received two patents for electrical products and one for installation systems.
